The Rhode Island Science Teachers Association is excited to open registration for our 2024 Conference, themed Making Science Phenomenal!  The conference will be held in the beautiful Avedisian Hall on the URI Kingston Campus and sponsored by URI’s Feinstein College of Education on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The conference brings together educators, researchers, and professionals committed to science education.

Join us for a keynote address by Jim Short, program director of Carnegie Corporation’s Education program and co-author of Transforming Teaching Through Curriculum-Based Professional Learning which offers a framework for practitioners looking to undertake this work.

Engage in FOUR blocks of workshop presentations, with sessions for all levels and disciplines. Each participant will have the opportunity to engage in activities, learn new methods and routines, and take home new resources.

Visit our sponsors, vendors, and non-profit exhibitors to gather information about resources and opportunities related to science instruction. Our vendors will offer a selection of door prizes to raffle! A full list of exhibitors will be posted before the conference.

Conference registration includes breakfast and lunch. All attendees will receive a certificate to document the Professional Learning Units (PLUs) earned.
